Southwest Central Fire Territory was established in 2008.  The Territory covers  75 sq. miles of residential, commercial and farm areas with 25,000 residents.  We currently operate out of 2 fire stations. Station #1 is located on Kern and US 31 in Centre Twp., Station #2 is located on Fillmore road in Portage Twp. A third station is planned to be built in the spring of '09 at Roosevelt and Redwood roads in Greene Twp. As of 6/22/2009 Greene Twp. is waiting on funding for the new fire station. Currently we operate with 11 fulltime firefighters with volunteers for larger incidents.  We proudly serve the needs of Centre, Portage and Greene Townships by providing fire, rescue and emergency medical services.  We serve with professionalism & pride , striving to meet the demands of our community.
